CH2M HILL Companies Ltd was founded in Corvallis, Oregon in 1946 as a professional partnership of four men - Holly Cornell, Jim Howland, Burke Hayes, and Fred Merryfield (CH2M). In 1971 the firm merged with Clair Hill & Associates to form CH2M HILL. CH2M HILL has grown to become the Number 3 environmental firm, as ranked by the Environmental Business Journal in June 2001, providing environmental services and products to domestic and international markets. We are an entirely employee-owned firm with nearly $2.6 billion in annual revenues. The subsidiary companies of CH2M HILL Companies Ltd include:

Throughout our 55 years, we have served municipal, state, federal, and private-sector clients in water, environmental, transportation, industrial, and related fields. Our professionals have completed projects in more than 80 countries.
CH2M HILL provides a full range of services including program and project management, value engineering, cost and scheduling, design, construction management, project financing, community relations, and operation and maintenance (O&M) services. CH2M HILL is an industry leader in environmental services ranging from initial investigations through cleanup and site closure. Our environmental work includes the full range of hazardous waste site investigations through remedial action, site assessments to support property transactions, environmental compliance, stormwater studies and permitting, and hazardous and solid waste landfill services.
Our work has included a vast array of infrastructure services, such as master planning, water and wastewater supply, distribution, and treatment projects, and highway, bridge, and airport projects. In addition, we provide contract O&M for infrastructure facilities.

Typical Projects

WATER/WASTEWATER - Design/manage construction of Changi Wastewater Treatment Plant. Contract for first phase of Singapore's Deep Tunnel Sewage System, one of the world’s largest underground wastewater projects.

TELECOMMUNICATIONS - Supporting Cableuropa in the largest single telecommunications network rollout program in the world, providing support to design, build and activate advanced communications systems in Spain.

TRANSPORTATION - Detailed engineering and design for state-of-the-art container trans-shipment terminal with a capacity of 1.5 million TEUs in Port Raysut, Oman.

DESIGN-BUILD - Project Manukau in New Zealand is one of the largest environmental restoration and WWTP construction contracts in the southern hemisphere. The works comprise new treatment facilities and restoration of approximately 500 hectares of oxidation ponds.

ENVIRONMENTAL WORK - Provide the full spectrum of environmental services to multinational companies such as Nike, Coca Cola, Kohler Company, Delphi Automotive, Huntsman Chemical, Morgan Crucible, and TRW Automotive.
